Games Catalogue Improvements

2026/03/11

I am currently in process of backing up all of my source code on the cloud, which also involves sorting everything out on my hard drive in order to make the archive more tidy than it was before. This is because currently I have only one physical copy of all of my stuff, and one partial copy on my PC, so what I'm going to do is make sure my PC has everything too and so does the cloud, to have 3 copies in total. Due to my extreme insistence on certain naming conventions (you might have seen how many of the files on this website follow the YYYYMMDDcamelCase template) and informative filenames (I went through all older versions of games and renamed them to know what versions those were) as well as the certain way folders are meant to be organized, well, it might take up some of my time. In the meantime, those older versions have been uploaded to Mega and soon I'll put the link up somewhere (or link individual games, see below).
My final games policy is this: Everything is returning. In 2025 I insisted on combining smaller games into larger ones, which worked out well enough, but extending each game individually is just better. I am attached to each and every game (with some exceptions) and want to see them listed again. Small World Of Fear was one of my least favorite games back in the day, so much so that I always wanted to nuke it. The new, extended version is so good that I will never have to think twice about having it in my catalogue again. As for the few really bad games, well, I don't think Headache 100,5 will be back. But we'll see. In addition, the Rum series, which was renamed to Norkaland in 2025, will return to its original name. This is... a lot of work. Even though I managed to crunch the SWOF update in one day, I will need about 2 months ideally to get everything in order. Cause remember, SWOF being part of Dentist Bathroom means that now I have to go back to that game and replace the merged parts with something unique... So the games that were on the receiving end of merges will be updated last, after everything will be un-merged and extended.
What a fucking mess!!! I could have done this last year, in 2021, hell, I was gonna update everything in 2018. It doesn't matter anymore. This is the only thing that matters to me and I will see it to its end. A prophecy of sorts. I'm not sure if I'll have enough time, unfortunately. Things are not the way they used to be. But I will do my best to restore whatever glory can be restored.
That's it, I don't think I missed anything.
Also, the previous report can be ignored, it's incoherent.
