Nu-Metal & Alternative

<< Back to Music

I forgot to lump this with the rest of it, so I'm gonna give it special treatment and let it have it's own page. Nu Metal is metal with rapping, to put it in very simple terms.

Best Albums

Linkin Park

Hybrid Theory (2000)

This is where it started. For me, I mean. Jetz Fusion, plus a CD rip of the album I found on the computer my uncle lent to me. Sorry metal fans but this blows all of death and black metal out of the water. Metallica nearly disbanded when they heard this because they could never invent something as epic as this album.

Linkin Park

Meteora (2003)

And this is the other one. Yup, here we go. The rest of LP can be skipped entirely, save for "Pieces". "Somewhere I Belong" is their ultramega best hit of all time.

Limp Bizkit

Chocolate Starfish And The Hot-Dog Flavored Water (2000)

Actually I keep my favorite songs from this one (99% of them) mixed with my favorite song from Significant Other. Well anyways, rollin rollin and all that. My favorite LB song is "Take A Look Around", and also "Crushed".

Abandoned Pools

Humanistic (2001)

Wait, what the f? This is not nu-metal. Well I keep AP in the same folder and have no other place for this album so here we go. Wonderful, sentimental album. "The Remedy", "Start Over", "Suburban Muse", "Sunny Day", "Fluorescein" are the best here. Wait a minute that's like half the album, well, yeah it's a sick album so go ahead and listen. And check out Somnabulist later too.

Artists & Bands

Crazy Town - "Butterfly", yeah I like it, and yeah it's not really nu metal either.

Disturbed - "Voices", "The Game", "Stupify", "Down With The Sickness", "Shout 2000", "Land Of Confusion".

Drowning Pool - "Bodies"

Limp Bizkit - There's some good stuff on Significant Other too, like "Re-Arranged" and "Nookie" for example. I also liked "Dad Vibes" from their newest release.

Papa Roach - "Last Resort".

Saliva - Click click boom come on come on come on come on. Also "After Me", "Musta Been Wrong", "Your Disease".

Static-X - "Something Of My Own (Project Regeneration)".
